Meet my latest trolls: Emelie and her husband Lars are Fireweed Farmers. They live on a small patch of land in the Eastwoods that Lars inherited from his father. They spend their days cultivating their crops of Fireweed and bringing their harvest to the local market. Locals say it is the best Fireweed in all of Eastwood and many travel far just to buy some. It tastes the best in a beautiful green salad but can also be thrown into a hearty stew.

Meet Astrid, a sweet little Wood Elf. She lives in the Great Forest with her sisters, where she has been given the noble duty of animal caretaker. There are many jobs to be done in the Elf Kingdom, but none so fulfilling as the animal caretakers. Astrid, along with a few others, spends her days looking after all of the creatures in the Great Forest, feeding, nurturing, and when necessary healing wounds. She aspires to one day be a Royal Caretaker – to tend and train the King’s very own mounts. She is kind and compassionate and very wise. Continue reading “Astrid”

I finished up the second in this series of Valentines Dolls today. Both of these sad little sweethearts got a lot of positive feedback and only one is still available. I had wondered about how people would react to my more solemn take on this day of romance. Valentine’s day is a day that comes with a whole slew of mixed emotions.
